I have just spent a few hours with some very inspirational people. They have just left my house, and I can’t help but be excited and impressed by their drive and enthusiasm for life, their family and their future.
Our time together left me feeling light hearted and as I am writing this, I can’t help but smile at our conversations and laughter. What a joy to spend time with people who look at what they can do with their lives, rather than what is wrong in their lives.
This meeting reinforced how the people we spend time with can affect our behaviors and feelings. Are there people in your life that during or after spending time together, you feel drained and worn out? Are there people in your life that enhance your motivation to get things done and achieved?
More importantly what type of person are you? Do you enhance or drain the people around you? Do you always take part in the “pity party” of what is wrong in your life and the people or circumstances which “cause” your problems?
Sit back and take stock of what you are giving out to the people around you. You may be surprised at your answer. Any one of us can be inspirational to our friends, family, and work colleagues. It really is in our day to day actions, words spoken and behaviors which affect our lives and those around us. Make a conscious choice to be an inspiration, not only to those around you, but more importantly to yourself.
I know what you mean about being around people who inspire you to be better just by their presence. Thanks for reminding me. It’s something I often forget
Also remember Paula that you can be an inspiration to others by your actions and your words. Never underestimate what you are able to achieve
Love this – I am inspirational
It is wonderful when you have people in your life like this – it inspires you to grow more yourself, as does your writing., Thank you
